About Michael
Jorgensen

Michael Jorgensen has chosen his education and work experience to develop a well rounded creative career, as a Strategic Marketing Communications Specialist & Designer,

an Instructor of Marketing Communications, Graphic Design & New Media; and an entrepreneur.

With a strong foundation in art fundamentals from the University of Lethbridge  Jorgensen received a B.F.A. in visual arts (drawing, painting). Jorgensen pursued pre-graduate studies at Emily Carr College of Art and Design, with 3 years of scholarships. This was followed by an Entering Graduate Scholarship at Simon Fraser University's School of Contemporary Arts, in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Strategic Design Process

When designing a marketing communications campaign, the product or service must be something Jorgensen supports, and is motivated to market and promote. 

 

Jorgensen researches and answers the creative strategy essentials: Who is the target audience? What kind of marketing campaign is needed? What does the campaign wish to achieve? Who are the competition? What are the product or service features and benefits? And so on...

A clearly defined creative strategy is developed, that includes an insightful understanding of the potential buyers and what motivates them to buy; and when, where, and how they buy. A socio-cultural analysis of the project is conducted, to understand the work in a broader continuum of history and meaning. This analytical process reveals metaphors, symbols, and signs he can use to develop a creative approach that has an impact on many levels. The creative approach must be memorable, communicate the message clearly and immediately, and engage the imagination and feelings for an emotional impact.          

 

Finally, Jorgensen tests the campaign, either formally or informally, before spending clients' money to launch and manage it. Along the way he uses a media mix that includes social media, to maximize marketing and advertising impact and sets landmarks to be met in Google Adwords and Analytics software.

Our work has promoted advocates of natural health to become recognizable names in the industry:  It was our campaign that introduced nutritionist Lisa Petty, to the public - she now has her own successful radio show, Lisa Live.
